Jain Panchang respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected when you use the Jain Panchang mobile application, why the information is collected, how it may be used, and the choices available to you.

Creating a Jain Panchang ID (JP ID) is optional and is used for community features such as Family Alerts and Sangh participation.

Jain Panchang may use location information to provide location-dependent functionality such as sunrise, sunset, Choghadiya and other Panchang calculations.
Coarse location information may also be processed by advertising or analytics service providers where permitted by applicable law, platform settings and user consent.

Information provided specifically for your JP ID or Sangh registration, such as your display name, recovery email address and Sangh contact number, is not used by Jain Panchang for advertising tracking.
Jain Panchang may use third-party advertising, analytics and attribution services. These services may process device identifiers, advertising information, coarse location, app usage information or related technical information in accordance with applicable consent requirements, platform privacy settings and their own privacy policies.

Account information and shared Family or Sangh information may be stored using cloud infrastructure, including Firebase services.
We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Account information may be retained while your JP account remains active and for a reasonable period necessary to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Shared Family or Sangh information may remain available where it is required for other participating members or for the integrity of shared community records.
Diagnostic and technical information may be retained according to the retention practices of the relevant service providers.
Users who create a JP ID can request deletion of their JP account and associated personal information directly from within the Jain Panchang application.
The deletion option is available from the Jain Panchang ID account page.
After a deletion request is submitted, the user is signed out of the JP account on that device. Processing of the deletion request may take up to 30 days.
Personal Reminders stored only on the user's device are not part of the JP cloud-account deletion request.
Shared Family or Sangh content that is necessary for other members or for maintaining the integrity of shared community information may be retained where reasonably necessary.

Jain Panchang may send notifications relating to Panchang information, reminders, Family Alerts, Sangh Updates or other application functionality when notifications are enabled.
Users can manage notification permissions through their device settings and available Jain Panchang notification preferences.
Some Jain Panchang features may display web-based content inside the application. Web content may use cookies or similar technologies where required for the operation of the page.
Websites or services operated by third parties are governed by their respective privacy policies.
If applicable law requires parental or guardian consent for the collection of a child's personal information, such consent should be obtained before the child creates or uses an account requiring personal information.
