What the screen shows

For each date the screen displays sunrise and sunset, then morning 2, 4 and 6 Ghadi references and corresponding evening references. This makes the traditional intervals readable as ordinary clock times.

What is a Ghadi?

A Ghadi is a traditional Indian time unit commonly treated as twenty-four minutes. Two Ghadi therefore correspond to about forty-eight minutes, four Ghadi to about ninety-six minutes and six Ghadi to about 144 minutes.

Why location changes the answer

The intervals are anchored to sunrise and sunset. Since both vary by city, date and season, the corresponding clock times also vary. Jain Panchang calculates the presentation for the selected location.

Morning and evening

The morning reference moves forward from sunrise, while the evening presentation is organized toward sunset. The app shows the resulting clock times directly to reduce manual arithmetic.

Year and month navigation

Month and year controls make the tool useful not only for today but also when planning ahead or checking a date later in the year.

Important: Jain communities can differ in calendar data and observance rules. For formal vrata, festival and ritual decisions, follow the Panchang and guidance accepted by your own Guru, Sangh or sect.
