What is Nakshatra?
The traditional zodiac is divided into lunar-mansion segments called Nakshatras. As the Moon moves, the active Nakshatra changes at a clock time that may fall in the middle of the day or night.
Why exact start and end times help
A date-only label can be incomplete when a Nakshatra changes during the day. The app lists start and end times and marks the currently running period for today.
Panchak / Vincho
The screen also provides access to Panchak / Vincho reference. Terminology and significance can vary by community and tradition, so the app presents the calculation as a reference rather than making a religious prescription.
Calculated locally in the app
The current native implementation calculates astronomical positions within the app experience, helping provide the timing information without depending on a browser-based runtime for normal use.
Keep religious categories clear
Nakshatra is a traditional astronomical/astrological reference. It should not be confused with Tithi-based Jain observances, which are a separate part of the Panchang.
