Ekta Setu is the new community connection layer inside Jain Panchang. It brings together My Reminders, Family Alerts and Sangh Updates, while keeping personal information and community roles clearly separated.
JP ID: your connection key
JP ID is used only when identity is needed for Family or Sangh participation. It is not required for normal Panchang use or private My Reminders. Family invitations are sent to an exact JP ID; a Family ID by itself does not allow someone to enter a private Family.
Private, Family and Sangh stay separate
My Reminders remain device-only. Family Alerts are visible to approved members of that Family. Sangh Updates are official community events managed by authorized Super Admins. This separation keeps each feature understandable and reduces accidental sharing.
How to use Ekta Setu

Open Ekta Setu
Tap the Ekta Setu banner/card in Jain Panchang.

Choose a path
Use My Reminders, Family Alerts or Sangh Updates. Jain Daily Details and Holidays are also available from the hub.

Connect only when needed
Create/recover JP ID when joining Family or Sangh features. Private reminders need no JP ID.

Use Calendar as your daily view
Relevant events and updates can appear with the calendar, so you do not need to remember multiple places.
Platform note: Event-alert presentation can vary by Android/iPhone version and the permissions allowed on the device. The app always follows the platform rules available to it.
Frequently asked questions
What does Ekta Setu mean?
Ekta Setu means a bridge of connection. In Jain Panchang it is the hub that connects personal reminders with Family and Sangh event features.
Can anyone join my Family if they know the Family ID?
No. Family is invitation-only. An existing approved member invites the exact JP ID and the recipient must explicitly accept the invitation.
How is Sangh joining different from Family joining?
A Sangh can be found/joined using its Sangh ID, but the request remains pending until a Super Admin approves it. Family joining is based on a direct JP ID invitation.
Does Ekta Setu continuously track me or my contacts?
No. The feature is built around explicit JP ID connections and event data. My Reminders remain on the device.
What happens to alerts if I leave a Family or Sangh?
The leaving device removes that membership context and local alerts for that Family/Sangh are cancelled during reconciliation.
